In "Our" opinion

Christi and i have been kicking a few things around this week and now feel compelled to share our opinions on a few important universal matters. Number ONE is that Pluto should be brought back to the status of planet. Full credetials! none of this dwarf planet business. We are considering having T-shirts made up that say "Pluto for Planet-06".

Since we are already shuffling our knowledge base, lets get the colors of the rainbow straightened out. Christi feels that Indigo is really a shade of a color not really a color of its own right and thus should be demoted accordingly.

Third and most pressing is the location of the "Rocky" statue in Philadelphia. The art elite have conspired to move the statue from the steps of the Art Museum to the sports complex and now to some uncertain fate. When Christi dashed up the famous steps (with a hemaglobin of 8) a few years ago, imagine her disappointment. No Rocky statue with arms raised victorious was there to great her. What a great tool to bring amatuer atheletes and art novices to one of the great museums of the world.

Other than that we are cool with the world...well other than cancer sucks and should be banished from heaven and earth.

Shayne

The husband is a planetarium guy. I'll tell him to get on reinstating Pluto asap.

AMEN!! Yes, cancer does suck and there's simply no better way to put it.

Has anyone ever told you guys that you should write brochures for the Philadelphia travel bureau? After reading your blog for so long, I'm ready to pack my bags and head to Philly for a week of shopping, museum-hopping, good food and bubble tea:)

My prayers remain with all of you. May your little princess have a restful, pain-free sleep tonight and a much better day tomorrow. Sweet dreams and many blessings.

Totally agree with you on Pluto. Let me know, and I'll buy a shirt. I've been having trouble deciding who to vote for this year anyway.

By the way, I remembered the eyebrow trick - it was especially effective when I was talking to strangers. ha!

Hi Thomas Team,
Yep, I agree with Shayne and Christi on all 3 points. This whole Pluto thing just isn't okay. Count me in on your campaign. PLUTO FOR PLANET! PLUTO FOR PLANET, CAUSE ITS SO COOL. PLUTO: NOT TOO SMALL TO BE A PLANET. And the whole Indigo thing -- I always wondered about that one too.. I thought Blue was already a colour in the rainbow? Lastly, yeah, the whole cancer being banished from the world thing, again, I totally agree.

Keeping y'all in my prayers,
Brooke, in Logan, UT.

Shayne, you can tell Christi that she is indeed wise...and how dare they demote Pluto!! So what if it has an erratic orbit - so do we all on a Monday morning! So what if it's a little smaller than the rest? Aren't we taught that bigger is not always better? (Also, whoever thought up the name "Xena" for the other new "pluton" should get out more in the fresh air and stop watching cheesy fantasy tv...)

Conversely, I agree that indigo should be demoted as an individual colour. Okay, there is probably some "physics" reason why it is a colour on its own, but does anyone ever go, hey, that's a nice indigo shirt you're wearing today? No! They say, nice purple.

On the statue issue, I can't comment, as I live in Western Australia. But I'm outraged on Christi's behalf!

I'm thrilled to read that Christi still has her wicked and very astute sense of humour fully intact. It was like a ray of sunshine to read your post and to know that she had been chatting and joking with you.

All the best to all of you - and someone should nominate Christi for a Nobel Prize (she meets so many categories...world peace, science, art...) What an inspiring visionary she is to us all! She is my hero, and always will be.

I totally agree with the Pluto for Planet Campaign! I'll buy a t-shirt too!

And I'm not a color expert like sweeet Christi, so I'm all for whatever she thinks is best for the rainbow colors.

And the Rocky Statue now that's just not right. It should be moved ASAP.

And I most hardly argree with Cancer sucks and should be banished!!

I'm glad to see that Christi still has her great sense of humor.

Lots of love, tons of prayers, for all of you today and forever and always,
Heather
