Ski Trip

We finally made that trip out west and enjoyed a state we had never been to before - UTAH! We loved it for a ski trip so much, even better than Colorado. It was a great long weekend, however, we are ready to go back already!













For whatever reason, we always seem to find a fondue restaurant on each skip trip. This one was no different, yum, yum!

This was the view outside our condo window. Occasionally Shayne would call and say, "We are going up the ski lift you can see out your window now if you want to watch us go up. Hopefully, you won't see us ski down that one those because it's a black diamond trail. We will come down elsewhere."

Congratulations to our new teenager!

Shayla's big birthday slumber party was a SMASHING SUCCESS! Tonight we enjoyed reminiscing over photos taken on the day she was born. I told her, "God richly blessed us by trusting us to your care. Thank you for making our family complete!" Shayla got a big kick out of the fact Christi was more excited about the new book we gave her at the hospital than she was about the arrival of her sister. We wish Christi would have been here to celebrate Shayla's 13th birthday with us this weekend. She is deeply missed!

More Shaylauary

Shaylauray continues to go extremely well and this weekend holds some more exciting bday festivities for the soon to be teenager! Last Friday night, we had a grand old time square dancing at Ole Zims, even if Shayla and her friends thought there should be more teenage boys in attendance. We thought the girls did just fine line dancing and square dancing with each other! Who needs boys?!
If you are looking for a clean and fun night out square dancing, check out their website. We all had a blast and hope to return sometime soon! Yee haw! You do need to call and reserve a spot. They only sell 250 tickets and have been selling out each time. I think some of my students found it odd that we learned to square dance in phys. ed. classes in school and we square danced at our wedding. Great Memories! FUN TIMES!

Shaylauary 2012!

It's so hard to believe Shayla will turn 13 years old this month! Seems like it was yesterday when this photo of Christi & Shayla was taken. We decided early on Shayla was so special she should have a whole month to celebrate so we will do that again this month - Happy Shaylauary!
