Get to the Point

With lovely spring weather and Cedar Point Season Passes sitting in a drawer, it seemed the perfect afternoon to spend at the amusement park voted "the world's best" for the past eight years and more importantly, #1 in Christi's book- Cedar Point! With what is coming up next in terms of treatment we really don't know if she'll be back to enjoy the rides again this summer or not so we went and had a fabulous day at "The Point". There's nothing like listening to the girls laugh and giggle together on the rides. (Pic: Shayne and the girls on the bumper cars.)

Tomorrow morning will find us back at the hospital getting Christi's counts checked before school. We believe she's still transfusion dependent and unlike many of our friends also walking this path we pray she doesn't stay this way much longer. Getting blood products a couple times per week for the rest of her life isn't our idea of fun; however, if that's what it is we shall make the best of it.

Cathy R., if you happen to read this, I thought of your brave son so many times today at the park. I know how much Shane loved CP too!

PRAYER REQUEST: Tonight I ask for Christi's supporters to please pray for a beautiful 11 year old NB fighter we met last week in Philadelphia named Laura. She just finished the BSO/LPAM trial Christi will begin on the 22nd, was doing well and headed home from Ronald on Friday. After a horrible scare with her blood pressure back home in NJ the next day, a CHOP team rapidly flew in by helicopter and flew her back to CHOP. Thankfully, she's out of intensive care and back on the oncology floor; however, I ask for your divine intervention for this sweet girl and for the rest of her family during this frightening and uncertain time. Thank you.

Christi and Shayla, we live just about one mile from Dorney Park which is owned by Cedar Point... but I do hear that the park you were able to enjoy today is much more fun!

Be assured that we have added Laura to our prayer board and I will be praying for her through the night along with the Thomas Team.

May this coming week be filled with miracles. love, sylvia xoxo
