Take Me Out to the Ball Park

Thanks to Comcast SportsNet, Shayla and I had an enjoyable few hours together this afternoon. Today is "Home Runs for the Heart" sponsored by the American Heart Association. Comcast SportsNet invited kids from the Ronald McDonald House out to the Phillies Stadium to try their hand at batting down on the field and to enjoy hot dogs and sodas.
Their TV camera captured video footage of the kids and it's to be on their cable channel tonight at 6:30 PM. South Philadelphia native and former major-league catcher Johnny Marzanno who analyzes each Phillies game on Comcast was there to offer his assistance and to serve as the Ronald Team's Captain.

Also on hand today was Concast SportsNet's Leslie Gudel, cited as "One to Watch" by Philadelphia Magazine. Leslie is Philadelphia's first female sports anchor. THANK YOU, COMCAST SPORTS NET for letting Shayla feeling so special and for letting me beam with pride as she missed every single ball, but was still made to feel like a major-league winner! (Appears she'll be sticking with dance!)
