7 Years Ago Today

Seven years ago this morning, we sat beside our precious Christi as she took her final breaths and we told her how much we loved her and how amazing she was. She actually had us giggling to the very end because each time we thought that was it and she was gone, she would somehow exhale yet another breath. Today we miss her more than ever! I still don't know how we made the ten hour drive home to break the news to friends and family, but God was with us then and continues to be to this day. Until we see her again in a better place, be well and thank you for loving and supporting Christi - and all three of us left here too! (RIP Christi Thomas, 1997-2006, victim of neruoblastoma)

So hard to believe it is seven years ago that your precious Christi left this world due to that horrible disease. You are an amazing family in your faith and strength. Christi lives on in all of you, She would be so proud of her little sister spreading childhood cancer awareness!

May God bless you today and always, and may Sweet Christi rest in peace.

I can't believe how quickly the last 7 years have gone! I remember reading the blog entry about Christi's death as though it was yesterday. Christi, sweetheart, you are so missed and so loved. You are not defined by the awful disease that took you from us but rather by the inspirational way you chose to live your life. Angela, Shayne & Shayla, Christi would be so very proud of you all, you're amazing! Xxx

It still makes me cry, but what a life she lived! She touched so many people! May God continue to bless and comfort you! What a reunion it will be! I know Christi is so proud of how the three of you have continued her legacy, and managed to live so joyfully. She was an incredible blessing!

Love you guys!
