Nearly Nine

Christi made her favorite cookies and will be sharing them at school with her classmates and teachers. She is sending some "virtual cookies" your way - ENJOY this calorie and fat free treat from the Almost Birthday Girl!

Tonight the sweet nurse agreed to come in on Saturday morning to allow Christi to get yet another transfusion so she wouldn't have to do that on her birthday! With her platetes only being "7" today, Pat doesn't feel she's going to be able to make it until Monday without needing a transfusion. Therefore, Christi will have to get a poke on her birthday before school so that her platetes can be ordered and received on Friday, but then she'll be with her friends Friday night and be all "tanked up on platelets" and good to fall off a pony (hee hee) at the Grine's "Horsing Around Party" on Saturday night. This does mean she's going to miss Daddy and "Webby" (Eric) as they compete in the 2nd annual duathalon in town, but - maybe they'll run and bike a second time, just for the bday girl (hee hee!). Shayla and Alicia (The Feb. 12th birthday girls) will have to cheer extra loud for those of us who'll be at the hospital instead. Cooks - we can't wait for you to arrive in Ohio!!
