Thank you, Bloggers! In the midst of voting for Shayla's eye glasses from the eye doctor's office, two of you suggested a website to find really cool (and really inexpensive) glasses! Well, after selecting an $8.00 pair for Shayla (I just could not resist these darling pink and blue ones), I decided to get a $12.00 pair for myself. I was simply shocked at the prices - and the great styles! THANK YOU! Shayne snapped our picture before school this morning to show you our new glasses. For anyone else who may be interested in having inexpensive prescription glasses mailed to your home, all you need is your prescription. I order my contact lenses through www.visiondirect.com. I've found coupon codes through Google in the past, but I see there is in offer on the site now for 15% off your first order.
And THANK YOU for the site with the glasses. I will have to check that out now!

I've bought them from 1-800-contacts. They have a website,1800contacts.com. Like the glass site, you just need you prescription.

I find that lens.com is a bit cheaper, but I have been very happy ordering from both.

Sorry just seeing this today.. but a little FYI.. If you go to 1800 contacts and get a price listing the Dr. office will usually price match for you. I worked for a Dr. and we did price matches all the time. Usually when you order lenses they also offer rebates (through the store) on 6-12 month supplies. SO you can get the price match, and the rebate. The good thing is that if your prescription changes you can usually exchange any unopened box through your eye dr.

I too have vision problem & using contact lens from 1800Contacts on the prescription of doctor to overcome it.
