Labor Day Weekend
(PIC: Shayne, Angela & our beautiful niece - Shelby!) I thank the dear Lord for helping to focus my mind off of "Christi" on Labor Day weekend. I was afraid there would be more thoughts of that absolutely horrific Labor Day weekend, 2006, than time spent with family this year. I did it! I only let my mind "go there" a few times. Time has helped immensely with my healing (as does keeping busy and being with family).
My sweet sister and her beautiful family again came up to the lake as they have done every Labor Day weekend since Christi died. Despite very cold weather, it was fabulous to see them. I enjoyed their visit very much.
Tina and I rode the "thrill rides" at Cedar Point (the train and the boat - the sky lift was closed due to the wind) while the rest of the gang headed the other way for more mild things (hee hee) like the: Dragster, SkyHawk, Mean Streak, Mantis, etc.
MY DEEPEST THANKS TO SWEET SHELBY FOR TAKING ALL OF THESE PICTURES FOR ME SINCE I DID NOT HAVE MY CAMERA. I DON'T KNOW WHAT SHE WANTS TO STUDY WHEN SHE GOES OFF TO COLLEGE IN A COUPLE OF YEARS, BUT I THINK SHE SHOULD CONSIDER PHOTOGRAPHY. SHE DID THESE AMAZING SHOTS WITH JUST HER CELL PHONE. I LOVE THEM. THANKS, SHELBY!!

WOW! I need a new cell phone. Those pictures are great!
These photos are gorgeous! Oh my, the one of Shayla on the rock with the sun...WOW!
Last night I was watching the Stand Up 2 Cancer special, and as some of the doctors/researchers were speaking, I got thinking about Christi's cells....just wondering if you'd be able to share the status of FUNB06 (I think that's what you called it?!)?
Blessings....
Beuatiful photos, indeed!
I'm so glad you all spent the weekend together. Isn't family just the BEST?!
Thinking of you ALL, knowing how difficult each day is but especially at this time of year.

Oh yes, this Labor Day weekend will go down as one of the chillier ones; that wind was retched!! It is amazing how much more "grown-up" looking Shayla got over the summer. She most certainly looks like a Tween!! In the final photo she looks so much like Christi - I had to look twice! She's a beautiful young lady; inside and out!
Fantastic pictures.Shayla looks amazing. My thoughts are with you all at this difficult time. Im so glad you had a great time with your
family.
In my thoughts and prayers.

Shayla is such a beautiful girl, sometimes I think she looks just like you and sometimes I think she looks just like Shayne! I think she is actually the very best of each of you!
I want my money back for my phone - I can't take pictures that come out so well with my real camera!
Thinking of you and keeping you covered in prayer in this especially difficult time.
Love,

Wow, the photos are really beautiful! I love the last one with Shayla's eyes. The camera really captured their color!
May God continue to bless you in your daily endeavors. You are a beautiful person, Angela. I'm sure your students and family think the same thing!
