The Comeback Kid?

(Photo: Brave NBIV relapsed fighters, brace for the fight!)

Although her eyes are still both pushed out (right one far more than the left) and she's quite nauseated, we headed to the airport this afternoon and will be sleeping back in our own beds tonight! We can't wait to be reunited with Shayla and to be at school this week. Tim took us to the airport. (Christi was happy to learn there wasn't going to be a taxi ride involved!)

This morning she received her chemo in the playroom while making a matching beaded necklace for "Jess" and we overheard her tell the nurse, "I really feel much better with this chemo."

I really doubted five days ago that we'd be bringing her home, much less bringing her home feeling so much better. I'm filled with praise and glory for God's goodness.

We will board our plane shortly, thanks Lisa.

PRAISE HIM! Im sooo happy to hear this news...baby steps, small miracles, we will take them all! I cant wait to hear about your reunion tonight when you get home. I dont know about the Mansfield area, but the storm track switched, and we didnt get near the snow they had called for, so your travels should go smoothly, except for the snow belt of course :) What a happy happy day. God bless

The lord does answer prayers! Although I don't know the Thomas', after reading the journal entries and the blog, I feel as though I do. I've asked the church to keep your family in their prayers! Christi and your entire family will be in my family's prayers!

Good morning Christi! Did it feel so good to be back in your own bed?
I hope the trip back home went smoothly. You are indeed the most beautiful Miss America I have ever seen! I had goosebumps seeing you wearing your crown! : ) How special did that feel? I always wondered if it felt heavy wearing it. We continue to pray for a COMPLETE miracle. I believe in miracles Christi...I know that your family does also. Thank you for allowing us to "walk" with you on your journey. God bless you sweetie! love, sylvia
