Beautiful Summer

Because Christi is currently feeling so well and Because that won't last much longer (She starts her chemo pills again on Wednesday.) we decided to put our Cedar Point passes to work; therefore, we enjoyed complimentary admission to Geauga Lake and Wildwater Kingdom last night and again today. Attendace was low (meaning short lines) and the water was a welcome break from the temps in the high 90s. The amazing "Roller Coaster Queen" (Christi) rode "X Flight" this morning and while they were buckling us in I suddenly remembered two of my 7th grade boys telling me they were too scared to ride it, after they waited in line last summer. Ooops! Needless to say, Christi loved it. (No comment from mom.)
YES, with a lot of whooping and hollering, they rode all the water slide colors!
After riding "The Monster" (Does mom look green?!) "No wonder no one else is on here!" mom declared.
Enjoying daddy and the water at the "Coral Pool"
Shayla enjoys the "puppy playground" at Geauga Lake, 2006
This should help my hair grow back!

Pulling up my email last night at the hotel, I did hear back from Dr. Maris about her falling platelets: "I am happy to hear that Christi is feeling well. At the higher doses of fenretinide, it is possible to see some platelet effects. This is why the requirements to get on study are so strict. So...I am comfortable right now sitting tight, but we will continue to keep a close eye on Christi and her lab #s and make quick changes as we see fit." Christi's labs will be drawn out of her port on Wednesday at the hospital. Until then, we'll keep holding our breath and enjoying this glorious summer! Take care and be well!

Looks like so much fun! I'm glad Christi is still feeling so fabulous! Are we still planning a CP date? Will you be going to the "Halloweekends"?

What awesome pictures!! Looks like a great time to me!

I have zero bravery for roller coasters so Christi is the roller coaster champ in my book.

I'm glad she's continuing to feel so well. She's amazing!! And she and Shayla look great- (even if Mom looks a bit green. :))

I love you all!!

Lots of love and prayers,
Heather
