Chicago Friends!!

As some of you may know, the Thomas team is having the pleasure of hosting “The Fabulous Four” as they advocate for our kids in “Rally Across America” Tom and Austin are riding 5,000 miles this summer “Pedaling for Pennies for Pediatric Cancer Research.” So far they’ve raised an incredible $109,000!! All of their funds are going to research at COG (Children’s Oncology Group- working hard at over 200 hospitals across the great USA.) This is exactly where our precious children treat and they are doing exactly what our kids need to try to find a cure for this beast!!)

I’m writing with hopes that some of our fellow cancer families in the Chicago area may be interested in attending some upcoming events and / or helping by hosting them for a night. (Trust me, they are GREAT with kids! Amazing college graduates doing an incredible thing this summer.)

They’ll be at:
*Advocate Hope Children’s Hospital on Thurs., Aug. 17th at 8AM and at
*Children’s Memorial on Friday, August 18th at 10AM

They’d love to visit with you and your kids and they are providing goody bags too.

Additionally, on Thurs., Aug. 17th at noon - the Kellogg’s Cancer Center is hosting a luncheon for “Rally Across America”, rally supporter and families in the area. YES, THIS MEANS YOU!! (They are providing a free lunch for any of you who may be available to attend.) They’d love to meet you! This will be held in the Kellogg Auditorium. Finally, they may need help with a place to stay next week. If you are interested and live in the south area of Chicago, you may also email Claire to let her know ‘The Thomas team sent you!” Thanks, friends!
