Christi Thomas Memorial Poker Run
The "Friends of Christi" lovingly escorted Chrsti for a final time - September 23, 2006.Those sweet "Friends of Christi" who escorted Christi to her final resting place on the morning of her funeral, and who had driven their motorcycles in four Christi Thomas Poker Runs - raising thousands for various charities, have done it again.
On Saturday, June 9th a Christi Thomas Memorial Poker Run will be held. The monies raised will be put into the Christi Thomas Memorial Fund. The event is open to all who would like to attend.
Registration: 10:30 - noon at Smugglers Bar & Grill in Tiffin
Cost $20.00 (includes dinner, door prizes and music)
Music by: Ript Off
Top Poker Hand $250.00
2nd Poker Hand $150.00
3rd Poker Hand $100.00
Carry Out Dinners available for just $5.00 so please feel free to stop out and pick up a meal to take home, if you're unable to participate in the run!
Shayla and her Grandma Nee Nee will follow the Tiffin City Police car and lead the way, just like Christi had done in the years she was able to attend. They will first lead everyone out of Tiffin where they will go past the cemetary. I'm certain it will be very emotional, but then the others will go on for the fun:
1st stop: The Rail (Fostoria)
2nd stop: Hillzy's (Carey)
3rd stop: Fat Heads (Republic)
4th stop: Sports Hut (Bellevue)
5th stop: Three Oaks (Tiffin)
Final: VFW Post 2858 (Tiffin)

I wish I could attend Christi's Memorial Poker Run, and support you. I wish I didn't live so far away. But my thoughts and prayers will be with you as always!
The picture with the girls is just sooooo precious!!! The look so sweet together =] It is so obvious that not only were thet loving sisters but also best friends ever. I wonder what did little jokester Christy say to Shayla that made her laugh so hard =))
Every day the girls shared was so special, every minute, event, and every memory....It seems that wherever the were they had their own little party in their own little Thomas sisters' world.

The photo's of Christi at 2 and a half are so gorgeous, I love the pics of her and Shayla together too, they are so sweet.
Sorry it is so hard for you,all the reminders at school etc, I'm so glad you manage to laugh even though you cry, you are very brave. I know, you have to be, but well done, I don't think I could ever be as strong as you.

So glad to see that the 5th annual poker run is set to take place this weekend. I bet Christi will be right next to Shayla and Grandma Nee Nee as they follow the police car! I've always loved the picture of Christi holding her thank you sign with her sweet signature and smile shining bright! The third picture is too precious for words. Your beautiful girls look too adorable. Shayla looks in such awe of her big sister. The bond Christi and Shayla will forever share is simply amazing. Stay Strong!
