Home (again)
Since we just returned home from visiting three states in six days, (actually, make that four, we missed an exit and visited a 4th state one night, hee hee!) Shayla is hoping you may again be willing to guess where we went. I told her that she'd have to select pictures with good clues of the locations because what she selected last time was just too hard. Please let us know if you can guess the three states! Thanks!

Looking like you have lot of fun. Shayla, you have such a great style, I think. I nocited that she is wearing one of Christi shirts in the third pictures.
is one of the states New York??
I'm a bad guesser. But the first one looks a whole lot like Maine and the other ones look like Mass or NY (maybe Boston?). Not sure how that would work out, but they look like the New England area, where I live.
And I reciognize two of Shayla's outfits as Christi's, I always loved the was Christi looked in them, and now Shayla looks wonderful too...
Micaela from New Hampshire
oooooooooooooh, one was DEFINITELY New York! My other two guesses, Pennsylvania...and...New Jersey??
This is such a fun game, Shayla! A great geography review.
The first also looks like the coast of Mass too... humm..
I'm probably completely wrong.
did you go to Texas Okalahoma California and Florida?
Oh sure I have some guesses for sweet Shalya,
Florida, Penn. and NYC? :)
Hope you all had a good trip!
With Love,
Heather
Oh my Shayla!!! These pic's are great for trying to guess.
Here's my guess:
Pennsylvania (?philly)
New York
New Jersey????
Thanks for the "where in the US is Shayla Thomas" game!!!
Sincerely,
a faithful follower
I'm guessing...
-New Jersey Shore
-Pennsylvania (Philly Cheese Steaks?)
-New York City (Central Park?)
VA, PA, NY
Thomas family,
I am not very good at this guessing game but sure enjoy the challenge. I am thinking NY, Pa, and of course Ohio.........My grandson and I figured out Alaska and he thought it was great fun. Wherever you go thrills me to see you enjoying yourselves. It pleases me to see Shayla blossoming into a young lady. I continue to read each and every entry and laugh and cry with you. What a special family you are. May God bless your lives.
I'm going to say PA, NY, WV and MI
NY NJ PA (#4 DE)
Hello,
My guesses are New York and Pennsylvania. However, I'm Canadian so please don't blame me if they're not close together nor anywhere near Ohio!
Jen
Oooh Shayla! I have visited your family's site for some time but have never commented before (I'm a Blogger novice, not used to commenting this way)...but I think you thought of a GREAT game and I'd like to play - although I think I have a bit of an advantage because it looks like you were visiting my neck of the woods!
Okay, the first picture I wasn't sure of right away, but the second I know without a doubt...I'd know those food carts anywhere! That's Philadelphia! Looking at the buildings in the background...maybe University City?
The third photo - what an awesome clue! Looks like Central Park, NYC to me!
And now back to the first photo...if you went to Pennsylvania and New York, how could you NOT stop by the beach in my home state? (smile) Yes, I'm a Jersey girl - did you go "down the shore?" (I'd better have gotten that one right, how embarrassing if I couldn't even guess my own state!) But hey, maybe you managed to trick me! Hope you had a ton of fun and that you'll share more with us about your trip!
Have a great day...I'm crossing my fingers now that my first Blogger comment will reach you! (smile)
Love, Hilary
Hi - Last time I wasn't home to play your game - sorry - and since geography isn't my strong point - can I just make another observation? First of all, you are the busiest family - always on the go - with so many fun things happening ALL the time. But, what I am observing - from all of your photos - is that where ever you go - whatever you do - you wear the most beautiful smile!
Maybe if you make the prize for guessing an invitation to join the Thomas Team for Fun you will get much better guesses!!! Can't wait to find out about your trip and what that smile was all about:)
Love,
Randy
Is it PA, NY, and NJ??? Wherever it was I hope the Thomas team had a wonderful time!

Dear Shayla. Thank you very much for giving our brains a workout. It is a lot of fun! Our guesses for the three states are New York (we think it is you in Central Park), maybe Boston MA for the hot dog van (or could be Philly in PA?) and then Rhode Island or Conneticut for the beachy one. We are at a distinct disadvantage at this game as we live in Australia. We've been to Boston once, Philly once, New York and Rhode Island three times so please forgive us on geographical grounds if our guesses are way wrong. We look forward to your post with the answers. Cheerio from Michelle and family :)
I'm not good at these guessing games so I won't even try! I love seeing Shayla playing with her friends. Of course it'll never compare to her having Christi physically with her to play but I'm glad she has such great buddies. She looks adorable in these pictures!
I'm a junior in college who has been following Christi's website since December 2005.
Tonight I spent some time looking at all the pictures of Christi from the years 2004-2005 on the main website. I still can't believe she is not here. So unbelievable.
While the pictures made me sad, they also made me happy. In her pictures, she showed that she indeed lived a FULL life, impacting many people's lives positively! I've never met her yet I LOVE & miss her. I consider her my hero as well.
Because of Christi, I think I have somewhat a different perspective on life. She has taught me to appreciate life & people more. I am going to radiology school next month, & I am hoping to work at a Children's hospital with kids like Christi when I am finished!
Have you seen any signs from Christi lately?
PS Shayla is too cute as ever!
Looks like NYC, Cape Cod, and Philly :)
I would have to say based on the buildings and the horse and buggy that one state would be NYC?
hmmm, have you might been in California????Florida????
I'm not good at such guessing games ( maybe thats because i'm from Germany *haahaa*)
Hae a nice week :)
Shayla,
My guess is that you were in Maryland, Pennsylvania and New York. By accident you might have ended up in New Jersey! Thanks for the summer fun!
my guess is...new york city and new jersey. and pennylvania..was your wrong turn into maryland? or delaware?
Hope all is well.
You were in Philly!!! That second picture is in my neighborhood. :)
So, I think I will guess PA, NY, & NJ. But... I don't know. Do people go to NJ by choice? :)
I hope you had a great time!
Enya
ooooooo, this is a toughy!
I'm going to go with New York (I'm pretty sure about that one), Pennsylvania and... I'll say New Jersey because you might have had to pass through to get to Pennsylvania from NY!
So? How'd I do?
Sending lots of love,
Eliza from San Fran
Maine, New Hampshire and NY!

I think one of them is NYC - It looks like Central Park!
I hope you guys are strong and doing well - I've been reading for a year and never commented until now. I just never knew the right time.

Well, I know in the one picture you are at 38th and Civic Center Blvd!! I can't believe you came back to Philly! I would have loved to meet you guys. Anyway, looks like you had a great trip...my other guesses are New York and maybe Rhode Island? Hope you had a theraputic trip. Shayla, you are a riot! :)
I think it might be either NYC or Maine. Or both.
Allison
looks like philly?
one of those looks like Mackinac Island in Michigan?
Maine, New York & New Jersey? Where ever you went, I hope you had a great time!
My guess is New York, Connecticut and Massachussetts.
Hope you had a great time, wherever it was!
You are quite the travelers this summer -- what wonderful memories you are making. Enjoy!
I'll try:
NY (NYC...Central Park?)
PA (Philadelphia...cheese steak)
NJ at the shore
Forgive me if I'm way off base...I'm Canadian :)
Hi Shayla
I live in England so I'm not good at all of the different states in your country BUT what I do know is that wherever youtr last break was itlooks like a whole lot of fun. I also thought that your journal of your trip to Canada & Alaska was totally brilliant - I'd love to vist there one day. Your writing is excellent. I bet Christi is really proud of you & happy to see that you're for having enough fun for both you (I bet she shared in your trip too!). I wish that I could have been as brave as you when my big sister died.
Angela & Shayne- glad to see you are managing to enjoy the times with Shayla - I wish you had 2 girls with you on earth to sahre the fun with but I know that your angel in heaven is with you every single step of the way (even if she hides in some photographs!). Keep strong & remember that your friends across the world are with you - we think of you every day.
Love as ever.
Nicky (England)
I'm going to have to guess New York was one! And then I'll go with PA and New Jersey-- perhaps you had to drive thru there to get to the big apple? Hmm... I wonder if I am right and I can't wait to see the latest version of "Where in the world: Thomas Version" has taken you!
Shayla, where are you?! Is it Pennsylvania? Louisianna? I'm stumped! Hope to get an answer soon!
~Sarah R.
Looks like PA, NJ and maybe DE?
Hello Thomas Team! I'm so glad to see you enjoying so many awesome adventures this summer. While we have never met, I have followed your site since last fall. I work with Dominic Tringali's father (from Buffalo) and Dominic and Christi treated together at one point. Last Fall, they had asked for prayers for Christi and I was directed to your site. That was it for me. I have faithfully follwed ever since, laughing and crying with you through your many hurdles.
About a month ago, there was an Alex's lemonade stand here in Buffalo. I was watching the 11 o'clock news (actually more like half sleeping through it..hehe :)when I heard a segment begin on Alex's Lemonade Stand. I perked right up and they were showing footage of one that had gone on in Buffalo earlier that day. I could not believe what I saw. There, right in the front was a little girl with a sign that had the names of a few kids listed. On that sign, as clear as days was "Christi Thomas - Forever 9"
I layed there for a long time after the news had ended just thinking about this incredible little girl who's spirit is still so alive and well. She has truly changed peoples lives and touched their hearts in a way that will never change. I hope that brings you some comfort knowing that even all the way over here in snowy Buffalo, there are people holding signs for your little girl. She has not been forgotten, if anything her memory is stronger than ever. May God bless your family and continue to help you live your lives to the fullest. From what I have gotten to know of Christi, I find it hard to believe that she would want it any other way.
Love,
Melissa from Buffalo
