CT & Shay's You Tube

**Nee Nee News: She is doing as well as possible!! During surgery yesterday they took skin from her thigh and did the grafting. We have not yet been able to speak with the doctor, but we do not think they did anything with putting in a brace or a plate or pins in her leg. We are hoping this means that it is healing fine on its own. She will remain in the hospital; the pain has been pretty harsh.**

"You Tubes" are new to us; however, after Christi's death we started receiving and learning about a few created in Christi's honor. We were incredibly touched by the love and time obviously poured into them. I don't know if this will really post or not, but we all three absolutely love this one of Christi and Shayla - it's very upbeat! ("Girls Just Want to Have Fun!" ya know.) I hope you're able to open it (Click on the play arrow in the center.) and our gratitude goes to a 12, yes 12 year old for putting it together. Thank you, Micaela!

How precious is that? Once again I sat here laughing and crying. I must say that Christi enjoyed life more in her short 9 years than some of us have in many more. You as parents are among the best. Giving, loving, caring............that is what God put us here to do and you both do it in style. Glad to hear the surgery went well and pray for a speedy recovery.

beautiful, heartbreaking, wonderful, excruciating...

this august brings back memories for everyone who followed Christi's journey via her webiste, memories of her last full month of life that must be unimaginably painful for you, her beloved family. We will all be praying for you especially hard as September approaches. She was Earth's Angel, and a beacon of light for so many. For you, she was your daughter, sister, "sweetpea". If this time is difficult for us, it can only be impossible for you.

We remember her always, and continue to lift her family up in our prayers.

Strangers become friends without meeting face to face.

Thomas Family ~ What an amazing "video" on YouTube, its amazing and so so special. Brought tears to my eyes and made my heart ache. My heart aches for Shayla...you are such a sweetie, its not fair that you lost your best friend. You are very strong. I still check in every day and enjoy your posts and following you on your journey. May God comfort you and give you peace as the dreaded anniversary of losing CT nears. Thinking of you always!!! Angela,
I hope that this is not too presumptuous of me. I have followed Christi's story for many years and have never commented. I live in Seattle and came accross a series of articles about a brave girl named Gloria. With your expeience with Christi and your Catholic faith, I thought the story might be of interest to you. I don't know if you are comfortable sharing your story with other families, but if so, you might be able to offer a special kind of comfort.... http://archives.seattletimes.nwsource.com/cgi-bin/texis.cgi/web/vortex/display?slug=gloria21&date=20070721&query=gloria.

Praise God for Grandma Nee Nee's recovery! We hope the pain has been managed better since your last update. I will pray for her to feel well enough to come home as soon as possible!
And that video is just darling! I always go on Youtube to see the dozens (it seems like that many?) videos dedicated to Christi. She has touched so many lives everywhere!

I can't believe that was done by a 12-year-old. It brought tears to my eyes - and what a gift for Shayla to have as she grows up.

I just wish it went a bit slower. The pictures are precious.

Thinking of you all and sending love,
Eliza

As you reach your one-year anniversary I hope you find comfort in things like this. I couldn't stop smiling during that video. It's clear that the girls loved each other - as I loved my sister before I lost her.
