Where O' Where?

This one "should" be relatively easy. Any guesses as to where Shayla spent the weekend?

My guess is Chicago. The first picture looks like the Macy's windows.

I saw the beautiful American Girl doll, and immediately thought Chicago, I believe there is a store there?? Being a mom to two boys, I am not always up on the dolls, much as I would love to be. Then, I saw Wicked, and thought NY.
Hmmmm. . . .

Wicked gave it away, and then I realized she was also standing in front of the American Girl store, and skating on the famous skating rink. Y'all were in NYC. I hope it was for good reasons, and that it was a time of celebrating Christi's life. I can't imagine it also wasn't sad though.

Hi Thomas family,

I came across Christi's story on myspace late last summer - about a month after my best friend lost her 2 year old son to a drowning accident. I have been meaning to contact you but never have the right words to say - I lost my boyfriend of 5+ years almost 6 years ago and while it could never compare to the loss of a child - I am familiar with grief and trying to pick up the pieces and move on. I am so deeply sorry for your loss - Christi is a beautiful child and I know her spirit will continue to live on in all that you do in her name. I was hoping to contact you before you came to Los Angeles so that we might meet but it appears that's where you spent the weekend?

Happy Christmas! I'll leave it to some of the others from America to guess where Shayla was this weekend as i have no clue about places over there!
Just wanted to stop by and leave this poem which i read on another angel's site

Don't think of them as gone away, their journey has just begun. Life holds so many facets, this earth is only one. Just think of them as resting from the sorrows and the tears, in a place of warmth and comfort, where there are no days and years. Think of how they must be wishing that they could know today, how nothing but our sadness, can really pass away. And think of them as living in the hearts of those they touched, for nothing loved is ever lost and they were loved so much. Author unknown

Thinking of you all this holiday season!
