I'm Home
Thank you for the prayers and kind cards. The surgeon told Shayne I did just fine. He removed a swollen gallbladder with gallstones and sludge. I'm feeling miserable, but I think that's to be expected. Shayla has been a sweetie and Shayne is a Godsend! When an "unexpected event" happened while I was in the recovery room, I felt like Christi was with me too trying to give me comfort in her unique and humerous way.

I've been checking in all day Angela, to see if you or Shayne posted on your surgery. I'm glad it overwith and that everything went alright. You've been in my thoughts and prayers, and will continue to be. Rest well!

Glad to hear you are home. It should start to get lots better now.
My guess is the hard part will be for you to slow down and rest long enough to recover.
Shayla will be a great "nurse" and I know Shane will be a great second shift.
The tone of your last few posts is that of someone who is in deep grieving. While that is okay and normal and to be expected at this time of year, please find the extra support you need to find it through this difficult time. Although it might sound counterproductive, this just might be the perfect opportunity to write that Christi book. Having a goal has always worked in your favor.
Prayers for healing are being sent your way.
Dear Angela. I checked the site this morning just to see if there was word from you or Shayne on your surgery. So glad you are home. With prayers to you for a speedy recovery from our family.
So glad that your surgery was successful and praying for a speedy recovery!
Blessings,
Sarah
Hopefully this will post. I haven't been able to in ages.
I'm glad all is well and I can't wait to hear the story in the recovery room.

Hope you are feeling better very soon.
So glad that your surgery went well! Once you recover from the surgery you will feel the difference I promise. Get well soon!
Glad to hear that you are home and doing well - I know that Christi was there with you every step of the way!
Sending you my love as ever Angela xxx also my wishes for a speedy recovery xxx
Where else would Christi be right now apart from with her mom every single step of the way just as you were with her. I;m sure she has a whole host of angel friends who are helping her to send extra smiles & hugs your way too.
I know that Christi's humour will be working well alongside the sweetness of Shayla to make sure that their mom is the best that she can be as quickly as possible - those girls will always be a formidable team you know!
My love also hopefully joins with that of Christi as she sends you lots and lots of her magic, unqiue "Christi stuff" to see the 3 of you through the next few difficult days with as many smiles & happy tears among the sadness and aching pain as possible. I'm sure that there will be one huge party in heaven this Friday as the angels celebrate the anniversary of the arrival of their brightest, smiliest, cleverest, bravest little one ever. (Little & Christi still don't seemto go together really do they?!).
Inthe meantime Angela, stay as well and as birght as yuo canbe and try to relax and enjoy being taken care of by your 3 angels - Shayne, Christi & Shayla.
Thinking of you all and an extra big hi and hug to Shayla. Shayla, I loved the photo of you with the llamas shayla. I live on a farm and we have just got 2 of them as pets - any ideas about good names?
Take care

I can't imagine the pain in your hearts during these tough times but I hope Christi's presence is felt and gives you comfort. I say goodnight and blow a little kiss to Christi and her angel/warrior friends each night before bed. Love and miss you Christi!
I hope your body is feeling a little better today. I'm wondering what the unexpected event was but I'm just glad to know you felt Christi with you and that you're okay. I'm not surprised to hear that Shayla and daddy have been taking great care of you!
I'm glad you are back home. I hope the recovery is quick.
Love and prayers from Long Island,
Aimee

St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and Chili’s Grill & Bar® announced the kick-off of their fifth annual Create-A-Pepper to Fight Childhood Cancer campaign. Guests at participating Chili’s restaurants can contribute to St. Jude in multiple ways:
- Make a donation to St. Jude and receive a Create-A-Pepper chili pepper coloring sheet designed for display at restaurants during the month.
- Purchase Create-A-Pepper T-shirts that can be customized with permanent marker.
- Buy a customized Create-A-Pepper key that can be cut for use at home or the office.

I'm glad that you're recovering well!
When my Mum had her gall bladder out she threw up for the first 24 hours after she got home (reaction to something, possibly the anaesthetic). Not good on a fresh stomach incision!
Hopefully your recovery is smoother than hers.
xx
Claire
I prayed for you all during the Holy Father's Mass in Lourdes.
